In essence, the Delhi – Mumbai Industrial Corridor project is aimed at the development of futuristic industrial cities in India, which can compete with the best manufacturing and investment destinations in the world. The plan is to develop new manufacturing cities, logistical hubs and residential townships along the 1500 km stretch.
